Privacy Policy

Effective August 12, 2026 · Last updated August 12, 2026

We're a small repair shop, not an advertising business. We collect what we need to pick up your console, fix it, and bring it back — and nothing else. We have never sold customer data and we don't intend to start.

1. The short version

We collect: your name, phone number, optional email, the neighborhood or address we're collecting from, and what's wrong with your console.

We use it for: arranging your pickup, sending your estimate, doing the repair, taking payment, and honouring your warranty.

We never: sell your data, rent it, share it with advertisers, or send you marketing you didn't ask for.

We never see your full card number — Stripe handles that end to end.

This policy applies to repairstationmiami.com and to the repair service itself. RepairStation LLC ("we", "us") is the business responsible for the information described here.

2. What we collect

Information you give us when you book

Information that comes from the repair itself

Information collected automatically

Our website is a set of static files with no analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising tags and no first-party cookies. The hosting provider and the third parties listed in section 4 receive your IP address and browser user-agent as an unavoidable part of serving the page — that's ordinary web-server logging, not profiling by us.

3. Why we collect it

WhatWhy
Name, phone, emailTo confirm your pickup window, send your written estimate, and tell you when your console is ready
Address / neighborhoodTo get to you for collection and delivery, and to check you're inside our service area
Device & fault detailsTo diagnose and quote the repair before we collect
Repair record & serial numberTo honour the 30-day warranty and know what we did if the fault returns
Payment recordTo take payment, issue refunds, and meet tax and accounting obligations

We don't use your information to build a profile, score you, or make automated decisions about you.

4. Who else processes it

We use a small number of third-party services to run the site and the business. Each one only receives what it needs. We don't share your information with anyone else, and we don't sell it.

ServiceWhat it handlesWhat it receives
Stripe Card & digital wallet payments Your card details (directly — not via us), name, amount, and email if you provide one for a receipt
Web3Forms Delivers the booking form to our inbox Everything you type into the booking form
Geoapify Address autocomplete and address verification The partial address you type, when the address field is shown
GitHub Pages Website hosting Your IP address and browser user-agent, in standard server logs
Google Fonts The typefaces the site uses Your IP address and browser user-agent when fonts load
CARTO & OpenStreetMap The service-area map Your IP address when map tiles load
unpkg Serves the map library Your IP address when the script loads

Each of these processes data under its own privacy policy. We may also disclose information if we're legally required to — a subpoena, court order, or law enforcement request we're obliged to honour — or where it's necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.

5. Payments & card data

We never see, handle, or store your full card number, expiry date, or security code. When you pay by card or digital wallet, those details go directly from you to Stripe over an encrypted connection.

Stripe is a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. What comes back to us is limited: the last four digits, the card brand, whether the payment succeeded, and the amount. That's what we use to match payments to repairs and to issue refunds.

Stripe processes your payment information under its own privacy policy, available at stripe.com/privacy. If you pay by cash, Zelle, Cash App, Venmo, Apple Pay or Google Pay, that transaction is governed by the terms of whichever service you use.

6. Data on your console

Your console holds your saved games, accounts, screenshots and downloads. We treat that as yours and none of our business.

We can't back up console storage for you. Please back up anything you can't lose before we collect the device. See section 9 of our Terms of Service.

7. Calls, texts & email

We contact you about your repair only: confirming your pickup window, sending your estimate, and telling you when your console is ready. Standard message and data rates may apply.

We don't run a marketing list. We don't send promotional texts or newsletters, and we don't share or sell your phone number. Reply STOP to any text to stop texts — we'll use phone or email instead so we can still reach you about your repair.

8. Cookies & analytics

This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. There's no consent banner because there's nothing to consent to.

Your browser may cache fonts, map tiles and scripts from the third parties in section 4 as part of loading the page normally. If you'd rather block those, a content blocker or your browser's privacy settings will do it — the booking form still works.

9. How long we keep it

WhatHow longWhy
Booking enquiries that don't become repairs12 monthsSo we have context if you come back
Completed repair records3 yearsWarranty claims and repeat-customer history
Payment & tax records7 yearsRequired for tax and accounting purposes

After those periods we delete the records or strip them of anything that identifies you. You can ask us to delete your information sooner — see below.

10. Your choices & rights

Whatever state you're in, you can ask us to:

Email contact@repairstationmiami.com or call (305) 699-2750. We respond within 30 days, usually much sooner. We won't charge you for a request or treat you differently for making one.

Florida residents: under the Florida Digital Bill of Rights you may have additional rights depending on the size of the business you're dealing with. We honour the requests above for everyone regardless of whether the statute applies to us, so you don't need to work out which thresholds we meet.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising — so there's no opt-out to offer, because there's nothing to opt out of.

11. Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Payment data goes directly to Stripe and never transits our systems. Booking submissions travel over an encrypted connection to our email inbox, which is protected by a strong unique password and two-factor authentication. Repair records are kept on access-controlled devices.

We're a small operation and we keep our data footprint deliberately small — collecting less is the most reliable security measure available to us. That said, no method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

12. Children

Our service is intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. A parent or guardian should make the booking and be present for pickup and delivery. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

13. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and move the "last updated" date at the top. If a change is significant — a new processor, or a genuinely new use of your data — we'll say so clearly here rather than quietly editing a line.
